Making a difference for a Bronx-based non-profit community boathouse

“Rocking the Boat” is a small organization dedicated to helping kids grow and thrive around the platform of boat building and rowing. I was fortunate to be at VMLYR and help them with their day of social giving, which culimated with a service project in the Bronx. Our goal was to enhance their physical space, while also including as many people from the agency team in the day. It started with a blank blue container, a plain gray wall, and ended up with nearly 20 people having put in a hard days work to change the space for one community, while building up relationships within the agency team.
